Last night i took my first footage for the music video we used 3 main locations and then did seperate filming within these locations.
-Lewes
-Brighton City Centre
-Sussex University
Lewes.
After not using a camera for a few years now lewes gave a good enviroment to refresh my knowledge and make mistakes it was one of the least dangerous areas and gave us alot of time to try a differnt camera angles and really get use to the camera.
We first took shots from around the cuilfail tunnel this area had alot of traffic and was also interesting we could use the tunnel in many differnt ways but unfortantly before we could get closer the tunnel was closed for maintance
We then went above the lewes bypass which was relativly busy and we took some footage from above the bypass on a bridge looking down, this also gave us the opportunity to get use to using the tripod and gave us the opportunity to perfect our skills before entering brighton.
Brighton.
Entering Brigton was a great opportunity to get a first person view of what entering brighton was like in a car we passed bright lights, busy road works and emergancey services it really gave a good feel to the filming and i manged to get a large chunk of filming which using effects should give and amazing piece of footage.
The wall of fame in brighton is the longest continous wall of graffitti i have come across we thought that grafitti would go very well with our music video seeing as dubstep is orginally from cities such as london and graffitti is a street art aswell, merging these to art forms seemed perfect.
Sussex University.
Sussex uni has a very laid back atmosphere and was much safer for filming compared to brighton city centre although nearing the end of the night we found it hard to be creative and have the motivation to experiment with shots it did this give us time to get extra footage
The main problem with filming at night was lighting we had to be clever with the lighting availble and manged to use some of brightons artistic lighting to our advantage.
