Fabriclive 37 is compliation album from two of the most well know dubstep artists caspa & rusko, it was releaser as part of the fabriclive seris and was the first album from that seris to fully feature the dubstep genre.


In ancient native americain culture bats symbolized rebirth as dubstep is a new form of music and recreationg of a genre many years on you can see this bat on the front cover as symbol of the rebirth of dance music.


A bat also only appears from the depths of caves at dusk this could be seen as similar with the dj lifestyle as dj's spend a huge amount of there time playing music at night time.



The main color on this album is red, a color which conjours up a mixture of emotions from love to violence and danger. Red is the hottest of all the warm colors and a proven stimulant it raises your heart rate, blood pressure and respiration rate somthing that dubstep probably does to many of its fans.


Red is symbolised acrossed many differnt cultures including the chinesse's belief that it brings wealth, prospertity and joy maybe the joy caspa and rusko felt from becoming the first dubstep artists to feature in a fabriclive album and maybe the wealth they help to create with there talent, in one of the tracks there is a heavy oriental theme with a traditional chinesse backbeat. these conflicting emtions caused by red is also very apprent with Caspa & Rusko's music as they explore themes of violence and hatred with samples from gangster films such as snatch. Red is also a good color for marketing its bright and attention grabbing just what record companies want an album to do amongst the stacks of competing albums

The bats wing also seems to be on fire, fire can be used as a symbol of power, energy, passion and the untames all of which can be made with the genre of dubstep. The powerful bass line and strong energy it creates, caspa and rusko obviously have alot of passion and energy for this new genre of music they have helped to become famous the strong bassy beats of dubstep can also be seen as untamed once again fire has also been important in asain cultures espically to the chinesse maybe another link with the track cockney violen

The fire also nearly drips into blood another substance which is red and can symbolise life and death it might also be used as a connection between caspa and rusko and that dubstep has bound them together as blood brothers.

In conclusion fabriclive 37 is a digipack that seems to feture very little but overall has strong images which represent strong themes for the partnership and is overall a good digipack.
